What a year it’s been – and it’s only May! We were honored to see our own Wickwood Inn listed in U.S. News & World Report. Known for its signature annual rankings of everything from the best colleges and universities to the best places to retire, we’re proud to say the magazine included the Wickwood Inn on its list of the 20 Top Romantic Getaways in Michigan.

Thriving in a way we only dreamed of when we opened our doors a little more than one year ago, the Wickwood Inn continues to evolve to ensure our guests enjoy the utmost in memorable luxury. Our most recent upgrades? An idyllically secluded terrace that beckons from birdsong-accompanied al fresco breakfast hours to romantically moonlit evenings – and an all-new, sunlight-flooded kitchen, where our professional staff has plenty of room to prepare and plate our already-beloved New American menu.
New Custom and In Stock Choices
From fresh colorways additions to some of our favorite rugs to the all-new pattern designers are already loving, our New Introductions joined our collections this spring.
But of course, as much as we love dropping new designs, we will forever have a soft spot for our In Stock collection. With an ever-changing array of sizes, colors, patterns, textures, and price points to choose from, it’s every designer’s answer to floor-covering needs without the wait time or the worry.
Engaging Endeavors
We’re never happier than when we’re designing – unless, of course, we’re taking part in events designed to educate, inform or inspire. Which is exactly what Martin recently did as a guest panelist during the Association of Lodging Professionals 2023 Conference and Marketplace in Phoenix, Arizona. The subject? Expert Strategies for Creating Satisfied Guests. Martin shared best practices we’ve developed for the Wickwood Inn to give our guests memorable experiences infused with Soucie Horner-style luxury.
Closer to home, our interiors and commercial teams planned a takeover – of the third floor of our office building at 208 W. Kinzie! With two newly expanded libraries to house an ever-growing collection of amazing new design materials, along with more room to lay out schemes and a private conference room, we’ve made sure our team has the space and tools they need to serve our clientele better than ever.
Gathering Communities
We’re putting our hospitality industry know-how to work for the Edgewater Clubhouse, the centerpiece of a new, resort-style residential community in Lancaster, South Carolina. There, residents will congregate to reinforce the close-knit ambience of their neighborhood as they enjoy each other’s company and celebrate life’s special moments. All in beautifully designed surroundings decorated and furnished to our hallmark standards of comfortable, livable elegance.
