Tribune Tower Residences

This historic 1925 office tower and newspaper complex on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile was transformed by a complete redevelopment and historic repositioning. The result: 162 ultra-luxe condominiums and luxury retail honoring the legacy of the complex’s neo-Gothic detailing and history. Each residence was designed as move-in ready with custom kitchens and baths, along with top-tier residential equipment and fittings. SH Studio-designed model units fulfill stakeholders’ goals for return on investment by amplifying city views in airy living spaces furnished by zone according to function; in contrast, private rooms feature wall interest and dark hues to create intimacy. Throughout, color cues intentionally echo the city itself: urban grey, limestone, bascule bridge burgundy, Lake Michigan blues and Chicago River greens.
