“It’s Spring Fever.
When you’ve got it, you want it.
It just fairly makes your heart ache,
you want it so!”
~ Mark Twain

Including: 3 new restaurants, an awesome new bakery, new menu items all over town, inspiring art exhibitions, new music groups and concerts … there’s activity and excitement everywhere!
To help guide and inspire, we’ve created a list of 10 things you must see and do during your Saugatuck Spring Getaway.
We’re receiving unusually high bookings for this time of year, so reserve your guest room or suite at Wickwood today!
1. Explore The Art & Landscape With The Artz & Gardenz Tour, May 13 & 14

2. See The Sunset Picnic at Oval Beach or Saugatuck Dunes State Park
It doesn’t matter if you choose to drive, bike, walk, or arrive by boat, canoe, kayak or stand up paddleboard, you’ll want the perfect picnic for your Lake Michigan sunset. Try the Kale Caesar Salad or the Seven Super Foods from Farmhouse Pantry to get things started, or leave the contents of your basket up to the amazing folks at Grow when you order a picnic for two.
Need the perfect bottle of wine to round things out? Mike at Wine Sellers and Juli at J. Petter have just what you’re looking for.
3. Spend the day on the water, at the beach, or on a charter fishing trip
We believe that the B.E.A.C.H. really is the Best Escape Anyone Can Have … and Saugatuck’s Oval Beach is award winning for a reason! There’s no better playground than an expansive beach and miles of freshwater. Any opportunity to get out on the Big Lake is always a thrill: Want to catch some fish? Try your chances with Best Chance Too or Saugatuck Fishing Charters. Or, sail away with Captain Mort of Sweetwater Sailing Charters.

Anything and everything happening at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts is THE hot ticket in town! Register for the “Springtime in Paris” culinary class or the Mixed Media Intensive workshop. See an award winning documentary film, take in an Intriguing Conversation, celebrate the return of the Farmers Market, or attend an exhibition opening.
5. Tour the Breweries, Wineries & Cideries
We understand that all this activity and fun in town might make a person thirsty. Take a tour or brew your own batch of beer at Saugatuck Brewing. Tour and taste at Fenn Valley Winery and Crane’s Orchards. See the chickens and pigs at Virtue Farm before trying a flight of cider in the bottle shop. Or, tour and taste the latest creations at New Holland Brewing & Distillery.
