“It is good to be children sometimes, and never better than at Christmas.”
~ Charles Dickens
For A Perfect Saugatuck Getaway, Spend The Holidays At Wickwood
From mid-November through the New Year, Saugatuck sparkles with the spirit of an old fashioned Christmas. The spirit is contagious. Snowflakes twinkle the streets and our 75 foot Christmas tree glows as it floats in our harbor. The streets bustle as buggy rides transport shoppers, Dickens’ Christmas Carol players entertain. There’s a festive air as all of our unique shops brim with artisan crafted gifts. Try Good Goods, Butler Pantry, Spice Merchants, Volmod, Landshark’s, The Teeny Tiny Toy Store, SantaFe Trading, Mixed Media, For The Love Of Shoes, Wine Sellers, and all the boutiques run by Chantal. Our restaurants have special menus this beautiful time of year. Be sure and save room for tastes at Bowdies, EPC, The Southerner, FarmHouse Pantry, Phil’s, Wicks, and more. Put on your dancing shoes in preparation for live music all over town: Saugatuck Brewing, Coral Gables, Wally’s and Sand Bar.
Wickwood is decked out for the season with Christmas Trees loaded with ornaments from around the world in every room and traditional Holiday tastes titillate with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, chocolate and oranges in the air. Fireworks over Lake Kalamazoo greet the New Year at midnight.
