Face to face, so you can truly see the sparkle in a person’s eye and hear the joy in her laughter. One of the founding ideas of Wickwood remains one of our greatest joys: there’s no better way of bringing people together than over good food and wine. With our reputation as a gourmet Saugatuck bed and breakfast, we’ve been serving our complimentary Sips & Small Plates from the very beginning, it seems we need this magical hour more than ever. In fact, it has become our favorite part of the day at the Inn … this special hour around dusk when the candles are lit, the music is on, and everyone has an opportunity to gather and relax.
Sips & Small Plates has become an absolute time of congeniality and connectivity. There are enough spaces at Wickwood where you can keep it close and enjoy being cozy with the one you love. Or, you can easily broaden the circle and enjoy conversation with other guests … comparing travel stories, talking in-depth about food, extending the happy hour to two and three. We are amazed by what people discover through conversation … finding they know some of the same people, or they’re from the same small town in Scotland. It’s exciting, and we love hearing the loads of laughter every night at Wickwood!
