It\u2019s sometimes bittersweet when Saugatuck gets its due credit. Truth is, we love our little community (population just 964 year-round!) but we are always proud when others recognize our special place.\u00a0 And so, yes, it’s a thrill that Coastal Living selects us as one of the Best Places to Live on the Coast in 2018<\/a>. It\u2019s an honor to be among such inspirational places as Chatham, Massachusetts in Cape Cod and Hermosa Beach in California.\u00a0 But, we do know there\u2019s really no place like home.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n One of the wonderful things about Saugatuck is how we welcome visitors<\/a> \u2013 with open arms. It\u2019s easy to see why so many people choose us as the perfect getaway from Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee (and also points from throughout the country and world.) The arts remain vibrant.
