“Fortune Favors the Bold”

This bold and colorful Indian Summertime art opening, their September 2018 Exhibition, includes artists: Ruth Crowe, Toni Doilney, Dennis Guastella, Claudia Hershman, Joan Holleb, Hal Koenig, Eve Ozer, Brian Sindler, Stan Socha, Marsha Staiger and Dean Steiner.

Toni Doilney paints with acrylic on canvas in a way that takes on an almost stained-glass effect.  The grid is made of natural forms and textures that one observes in forests and rural landscapes.

Joanie Holleb paints with mixed media on textured copper sheets.  The work she creates on the copper sheet directs to painting that follows.  Her three-dimensional pieces contain elements of surprise upon closer inspection, sometimes including quotes from the Old Masters to find.

Visit Water Street in downtown Douglas in September to experience the artwork all of their 11 exhibiting fine artists.

“Strength In Numbers”

Taking part in the 41st Annual Saugatuck Douglas Fall Gallery Stroll on October 6 & 7, they plan an art exhibition that spans the breadth of talented fine artists at Water Street Gallery.  Paintings, glass, sculpture and mixed media – there is art, in some form, for everyone at this pARTy.
